Portside Wharf has sold more than $8 million of apartments at the latest residential stage, Promenade in recent months, and developers Brookfield Residential Properties are confident strong sales will continue well into the new year.

Promenade Hamilton Apartments, which is more than 80 percent sold, features 172 one, two and three-bedroom apartments over 15 levels.

Brookfield Residential Properties National Director, Phil Leahy said he is confident the summer months will continue to bring in strong sales figures, with 14 apartments sold since October, bringing total sales at Promenade to more than $79 million.

“Since the start of spring there has been a huge increase in enquiries at Promenade and this heightened interest has now turned into solid sales,” he said.

“If the strong interest and sales continue, we can really start to look towards the sell-out of Promenade.”

Mr Leahy said sales had been made to a mix of buyers from the surrounding area and also the southern states, thanks to the perfect mix of location and amenities.

“Portside Wharf encapsulates the best of location and amenity with its mix of retail, dining, residential and the cruise terminal making up the vibrant mixed-use development,” he said.

“Its location on a prime riverfront parcel fronting the Brisbane River in the blue-chip suburb of Hamilton, just six kilometres from the CBD and with easy access to motorways and the airport, makes Portside Wharf prime real estate for the owner occupier or savvy investor.

“Across the board, purchasers are attracted by the opportunity to secure a property in this sort-after location, along the river, at a relatively affordable price, with apartments in Promenade starting from just $430,000.”

Mr Leahy said forward thinking purchasers are getting in early, with major development set take to place over the coming years as part of the Northshore Hamilton project.

“Purchasers want to be part of Portside Wharf and its range of restaurants, cafes, shops and entertainment, as the opportunity to live in a masterplanned community like this, that features such an extensive mix of amenities, is rare, especially along river frontage.

“For investors, the strong rental demand and potential for capital growth over the next four years, with the Northshore Hamilton area set to expand exponentially, is also a key factor.

“Savvy purchasers have done their research and can see the growth that will take place over the coming years and they want to capitalise on that growth and be part of this major development from the onset.”

Promenade is the fourth residential building to be completed at Portside Wharf and is situated at the heart of the retail precinct, which includes some of Brisbane’s most famed restaurants, including Gusto da Gianni, Byblos and Sono, along with Max Brenner, Ella Bache, Jetts Fitness, IGA supermarket and Dendy Cinemas.

A host of new retailers have recently opened at Portside Wharf including Bou’s for Men barbers, Subway and Ginga Japanese Restaurant with the Burrito Bar set to open in the coming weeks.
