Visitors and residents of Portside Wharf will soon have access to yet another cuisine as the riverside precinct continues to expand its retail offering.

Greek tapas restaurant Atalanta has signed a 10 year lease on a 245sqm space in the newly completed Link building at the entrance of the waterfront retail and residential hub, leaving just a limited number of spaces available.

Brookfield Residential Properties’ General Manager Lee Butterworth said Portside Wharf was now home to 45 retailers including waterfront fine dining and casual restaurants, boutique fashion, health and fitness, hair and beauty, conveniences and entertainment.

“Our retail precinct continues to grow, with the current retail space almost completely occupied,” he said.

“As we welcome new retailers, we will continue to build the precinct with residents in mind, ensuring they have everything at their fingertips.”

Portside Wharf is home to six completed waterfront apartment buildings – Pinnacle, Link, Promenade, Flare, Loft and Infinity, offering a mix of luxury one, two and three bedroom apartments, penthouses and River Terraces along the Brisbane River in Hamilton.

Mr Butterworth said there was a vast mix of residents at Portside Wharf including owner occupiers, first home buyers, empty nesters and retirees.

He said while owner occupiers from the surrounding area downsizing from the family home remained the predominant buyer market, there was a growing trend of interstate buyers seeking the benefits of Brisbane’s affordable market.

“Hamilton has long been a sought-after address and Portside Wharf is the social hub of the Inner North and the backbone of Northshore Hamilton which is set to become home to some 15,000 residents over the next 20 years,” he said.

“The unique living opportunity offered at Portside Wharf makes it attractive to buyers from all demographics as the chance to live riverside atop a precinct filled with retail, dining and entertainment, is rare.

“Portside Wharf has recently enjoyed a peak in interest and sales from interstate buyers looking to take advantage of Brisbane’s more affordable market and the precinct’s enviable riverfront location just six kilometres from the CBD.

“The precinct is also within easy access to key economic areas, airports, motorways and public transport.”
