After its popularity through winter, Hamilton’s riverside shopping and dining precinct, Portside Wharf will continue to hold its complimentary yoga classes on the wharf every second Sunday at 8am.
The hour-long free sessions will continue with a new, qualified yoga instructor from Jetts Fitness Hamilton and focus on relaxing the mind, strengthening the body, increasing flexibility and invigorating the soul.
Jetts Fitness Hamilton club manager Dave Kettle said he was surprised by the loyal following the classes gained during winter.
“It was a tough ask for people to come out in winter, with many Sundays tainted by heavy rain and strong winds, but we developed a large following and classes continued to fill rain, hail or shine,” he said.
“We are excited to continue our complimentary yoga on the wharf and we know those who have been coming throughout winter are looking forward to practising yoga in warmer, sunnier weather.”
Dave said outdoor yoga was an enriching experience and a great way to improve your health.
“Yoga on the wharf is a lovely way to exercise in the open-air in an unintimidating environment,” he said.
“These classes are accessible for everyone and are designed to cater for a wide range of ages and fitness levels.
“It’s a very social atmosphere and as it’s held in one of Brisbane’s most popular waterside dining destinations, many stay around after class to have a coffee at one of Portside’s cafes.”
Dave said there is a positive focus on health and wellbeing at the boutique fashion, retail and residential precinct, and these free yoga sessions were a fantastic way to promote the benefits of keeping fit in a way that is accessible to everyone.
“Free yoga on the wharf is a unique way for people to exercise, socialise and rejuvenate and we expect these sessions will appeal to a wide demographic, including residents living in the luxury residential apartments across the precinct and locals from the wider Hamilton area,” he said.
“This is just another example of the luxury lifestyle opportunity that is available to the residents who live in the riverfront apartments at Portside Wharf.”
Complimentary yoga on the wharf will continue fortnightly from Sunday, October 6, from 8am. BYO yoga mat. For more information visit www.portsidewharf.com.au or call 3907 4111.
