Popular hair salon Fadi’s Hair is the latest retailer to be lured by Portside Wharf’s sophistication and vibrancy as it plans to open its chic hair salon at Brisbane’s premier riverside shopping and dining precinct in November.
Moving from its current location on James Street, Fortitude Valley, Fadi’s Hair is taking 82sqm on an eight year lease at the waterfront retail and residential development in Hamilton.
Fadi’s Hair owner, Fadi Haddad said he had been watching the growth of Portside Wharf and was excited by the opportunities on offer at what he says is fast becoming one of the trendiest locations in Brisbane.
“A lot of our existing client base is in the Ascot and Hamilton areas, as well as New Farm, so moving to Portside Wharf is a logical step for us and puts us right in the middle of our target demographic,” he said.
“The move will give us greater exposure to these established areas of Brisbane, as well as the new and emerging areas around the precinct including residents of Portside Wharf and neighbouring developments that are part of the Northshore Hamilton urban renewal project.
“The mix of waterside boutique fashion, homewares and dining options, all of which have helped transform Portside Wharf into the social hub it is today and subsequently attract a trendy crowd who visit or live in the luxury apartments at the precinct, will definitely complement the services we offer.
“The precinct is well designed and well constructed and the location attracts the right clientele, providing them with ample parking as well as opportunities for dining, shopping and entertainment.”
Mr Haddad said he would be at the Portside Wharf salon every day, offering a range of services including ladies and men’s hairstyles, cuts and creative colour, as well as all aspects of styling from blow drying to chemical straightening.
Portside Wharf Project Director Lee Butterworth said Fadi’s Hair had a reputation for its stylish fit-outs and upmarket locations and would add another element to Portside Wharf’s offering.
“Together with our existing barber, Bou’s for Men, the addition of Fadi’s Hair means Portside Wharf will now deliver a complete style experience for both men and women,” he said.
“Portside Wharf will be a one-stop-shop for ladies wanting the full range of hair and beauty services with everything from facials, make-up, pedicures, spray tans and hairstyles soon available through the combination of Ella Bache Hamilton, KC Nails and Fadi’s Hair.”
Portside Wharf is now home to more than 30 of Brisbane’s best waterfront restaurants and retailers including Urbbana Men’s Style Studio, Ella Bache, Dendy Cinema, Max Brenner, Byblos Bar & Grill, Sono Japanese Restaurant, Belvedere Bar & Grill and Gusto da Gianni.
“As the greater Northshore Hamilton precinct continues to grow, savvy retailers are getting in early at Portside Wharf to secure their position in what is set to become one of Brisbane’s premiere retail and dining precincts,” Mr Butterworth said.
Portside Wharf comprises four completed residential towers as part of its mixed use community, with the next residential stage of luxury apartments, Pinnacle at Portside Wharf set to commence construction later this year.
More retail spaces are available at Portside Wharf and range from 48sqm to 148sqm, to suit a diverse range of businesses.
