The fashion conscious are celebrating as Portside Wharf welcomes another boutique fashion store to its riverfront precinct, further cementing itself as one of Brisbane’s best destinations for boutique shopping.
Relocating from Racecourse Road, the new boutique Hunt & Gather brings with it the latest styles from iconic brands such as Charlie Brown, George, Collette Dinnigen, Johnny Was, Love & Liberty and Wish as well as shoes, handbags and accessories from the likes of Nude and Zoe Kratzmann.
Owner Karen Price said Portside Wharf was fast becoming the place to be seen and she wanted to secure her spot early.
“Portside Wharf is the happening place and has a fantastic vibe and character so it’s a really good fit for our brand and customers,” she said.
“I’ve been keeping my eye on the precinct and have watched it transform into the trendy retail destination it is today, with its mix of boutique fashion for both men and women, homewares, gifts, coffee and dining.
“I knew I had to move quickly if I wanted to get in on the action and take advantage of Portside Wharf’s unique customer base and now that we’ve arrived, we absolutely love it and so do our customers.”
Hunt & Gather have signed a 5 year lease (with a 5year option) on 81sqm and Ms Price said the bigger store would allow Hunt & Gather to hold events and seasonal fashion parades.
“We love to make shopping an interactive experience so we’ll be inviting guests to join us for events, pre-season viewings and parades throughout the year,” she said.
“It’s great because Portside Wharf is a lovely destination for these guests and customers to visit.”
Brookfield Residential Properties project director Lee Butterworth said it was great to be expanding the fashion-side of Portside Wharf and continuing to grow it as Brisbane’s number one destination for fine dining and boutique shopping to complement the luxury riverfront residential living also on offer.
“Hunt & Gather is the perfect match for Portside Wharf, offering the latest trends and boutique brands that often can’t be found in department stores,” he said.
“For Portside Wharf to continue to cement itself as one of Brisbane’s premier riverfront fashion, dining and entertainment destinations, we need to be sure we are giving people what they want and catering to their needs.
“The launch of our next residential stage, Pinnacle at Portside Wharf housing luxury waterfront apartments, means the precinct will be welcoming more residents in the coming years and we want to make sure we have everything they need when they arrive.”
More retail spaces are available at Portside Wharf and range from 50sqm to 240sqm, to suit a diverse range of businesses, with Brookfield Residential Properties seeking a mix of new dining, shopping and convenience options.
