Belvedere Bar and Grill at popular riverside dining precinct – Portside Wharf – has launched a new menu in time for Summer.

The updated menu features a more European flavour, drawing on head chef Anthony Gordon’s vast experience in some of the UK’s most awarded fine dining restaurants.

Anthony says the changes to the menu reflect the warmer months ahead and the seasonal produce available.

“I am inspired by creative cooking and fresh produce, so I have taken my experience in Europe and given it an Aussie twist to come up with a modern selection of meals and desserts I’m sure will appeal to many,” he said.

“My cooking style is mostly Mediterranean and my goal is to bring a fresh, seasonal approach, using both modernised and traditional techniques, encompassing the bistro style, as well as my own stamp on daily specials.”

While diners are still guaranteed one of the best steaks in Brisbane at Belvedere, the new menu includes summer favourites including roasted fillet of Atlantic salmon, tagliatelle of local prawns and pan seared duck breast.

“Our new selection of desserts are the perfect way to finish off your meal. A couple of my personal favourites are the vodka and buttermilk panna cotta and the glazed apple and frangipane tart,” Anthony said.

“I have added my own personality to an already diverse menu, thanks to owners Cosimo Carvignese and Gianni Greghini.”

Situated on the river at the sophisticated riverside precinct  Belvedere combines stylish dining with casual eating, which is a concept very familiar to accomplished chef Anthony, who has perfected the art of cooking in Michelin star restaurants across the globe and has worked with the likes of Heston Blumenthal.

“I’m a firm believer that the customer comes first, which is why I was drawn to Belvedere,” he said

Cosimo and Gianni have captured the perfect mix of style and comfort and created an environment conducive to an extravagant sit-down dinner, a corporate function or a casual drink and plate of nibbles on the huge outdoor timber deck.

“Belvedere has it all. Not only is the waterfront location idyllic, the precinct has a unique customer base, with hundreds of residents living in the residential apartments above the retail shops and in the surrounding area, as well as those who work in the precinct and passengers from the Brisbane Cruise Ship Terminal.

Guests can also enjoy the popular two-course lunch special with a glass of house sparking, white or red wine for just $39.50 from Monday to Friday.  Belvedere is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. For more details phone 07 3630 0411 or www.belvederebarngrill.com.au
