Exclusive hair salon Fadi’s Hair is set to add some serious glamour to Brisbane’s best riverfront shopping and dining precinct, Portside Wharf.
The popular hair salon has relocated to the waterfront retail and residential development in Hamilton from its previous location in James Street, Fortitude Valley, adding to the mix of 30 plus boutique retailers at the riverside shopping and entertainment hub.
Fadi’s Hair owner, Fadi Haddad said locals are in for a treat when they visit the new salon, which is decked out with private hair wash areas using filtered water, natural and soft lighting without harsh fluorescents, the best quality furnishing and free internet access.
“We have one of the best looking salons in Brisbane, which certainly complements the sophistication and vibrancy the Portside precinct offers,” he said.
“Customers can sip on a glass of wine or enjoy an ice cold beer, juice or soft drink from our bar, or relax with a freshly brewed coffee while we work our magic.”
Fadi said this season, ladies can put away their straightening irons because natural waves are back.
“Throw away the hair straighteners and pull out the curling tongs – this season is all about movement,” he said.
“This hair trend follows the new fashions of flowing dresses, harem pants and loose tops, rather than the skin tight outfits we’ve seen in the past.
“This season’s hair, like the clothes, is about elegance and movement and the style cuts lend themselves to this by leaving length in the front.
“There is no more texture – it’s about beautiful styling.”
Fadi also said blonde is back.
“Ballyage is on its way out – it’s more about strong pieces of blonder hair. But the blondes of this season are not fake, Barbie blondes, they are what I call ‘edible blondes’ like crème caramel, honeycomb and champagne,” he said.
“It’s also about mixing these colours and integrating different tones to create a depth of colour.”
Fadi’s Hair is open seven days from 9am until 6pm and late nights Wednesday and Thursday until 8pm. For bookings phone 07 32683777.
